Ooh, I love painted stair runners! And yes, I'm very excited to see pictures of your completed laundry room. (You wouldn't "meh" it after seeing my disgusting apartment laundry room.)

I have been trying to get up the courage to paint my stairs, (builder stairs covered in carpet. I was going to go white with black steps but I love this!

Lisa-
Can you come to my house because I want to do that. I have had it on my mind for years. Everyone in the house says no. I am gonna send you an email because I have a couple questions about painting them~

Great idea. I wish we could have done that, but our stair needed carpet, no way around it. It's all done now, and we found a deal..., so it's all good.

Love the idea of painting the stairs. Wish I had thought about that in my old house. In this house I'd like to rip up the carpet and stain the cement! No guts, though.

hello...just dropping by. I just looked at your beach house. It is gorgeous! Do you mind telling me what and where did you find the color that is on the walls of the living room? I've been looking for something just like it!

Great idea to paint the stairs. Although I have never met you that just seems more 'you' than the runners. :)

Did you entertain the idea of a painted floor cloth runner, using thick canvas? You can paint it up and seal it, tack itright on. But, best of all....you can change it as you desire if you get tired of it!
My wooden stairs are looking...tired, and I'd love to paint them, just would hate the ensuing divorce!!! :O...I might try the floor cloth.

The painted stairs are cute. DO IT! DO IT! I have some stairs that I was thinking of doing something similar. I'll wait for you to do it first. See how it goes. :-)
Can't wait for your laundry room to be finished. I'm so excited for you.
