A blanket of fresh snow for the new year..AT THE BEACH??

Steve and I took the little peeps to the beach Saturday night.. We had an appointment Sunday afternoon to get the Lil Coastal Nest signed up into the local vacation rental pool out there.I couldn't stop with these awesome candle holders, they were on the 50% off table at Grand Heron, had to take them to the beach. They are PERFECT beach decor..in my book..Why do people look wonderful things like this over? The votives were $8 each, so they would have been $4.EACH! the large vase was $28..before the half off. You do the math. Anyhoo.
I love them. About 2 hours after our meeting with the Queen of Vacation Rentals we decided that the pretty fluffy snow was getting a bit much, and packed up to go.

Here is my Pacific Beach gazebo..in the snow..
Here is my ocean at Pacific Beach.. See it? Squint hard and look to the top of the plant life, you can see a few waves breaking..
brrrrrrr!

This is Ocean Beach Road..uh..they ended up closing the highway just after we took off.
WAAAy too many cars in ditch. NOT US .
we are a lucky bunch. You can be too, come on out to the beach, We'd love to have ya!

merry winter, y'all!!!
wonder what Al would think about all this coastal snow....

Just kidding, (not really-) don't freak out on me...

love ya!

It is beautiful even in the snow-I bet that was a scary drive home, but then you have snow where you live the rest of the year too!! Good luck with your vacation rentals, it is such a charming place, everyone will want to stay there!

Look at that snow. I love snow at the beach. Glad you made it home safely. That's one thing I don't like about the snow - getting in the car. I am sure your little nest will be rented alot. Maybe one day...

Wow....that's a lot of snow. It seems weird to see snow on a beach....but hey, I'm from south Texas so WHAT DO I KNOW!...lol

Enjoyed your blog and will be back! Happy New Year from Houston.

I love that last photo of the snow whipping over the road. Our snow is mostly gone already, but it was pretty while it lasted.

I'm glad you are so optimistic about the snow! I however, am having a grouch-fest. I think I may have just smiled a bit though, you rubbed off on me! Thanks...
