I think the jury's still out here in Australia Lise. Our Feds. are sending everyone who earned less than $100K. last Tax Yr. $950 this week to spend up with. The intersting thing is that we're hearing that includes itinerant workers, backpackers, etc. So college kids in Sweden, fruit pickers from New Zealand etc. who have all returned home, are receiving a nice little cheque as well!
So they are of course, spending up in their own country on Aussie taxpayers hard-earned bucks - go figure!! Millie ^_^
I am not stimulated yet. I have to say that I am a little scared. I think that the 'administration'-& I include the senate and congress in that- is like a runaway train waiting to crash. I just can't believe that anyone thinks all this spending is okay. And I heard that they didn't even have time to read the last stimulus bill before they voted on it. I'm sorry that's just wrong - what's the hurry? I know it will all work out and things will be okay but it's going to be a long haul, especially with the fools running the show. And I don't think it's all Obama - he didn't have anything to do with Pelosi, Reid, or Frank being in office. Now Geithner is another story - I am disappointed in the job he is doing - he looked good on paper so I expected more.
I hope I didn't offend anyone by mentioning the names I did -it is only my opinion.
In matters of finance, I trust the wisdom of Dave Ramsey. Too bad 'those in charge of the money' aren't interested in listening to him, too. Our world is forever changing and always will, but I really don't understand how the stimulous checks are going to make any real difference.

I keep going back and forth. Don't want to know/ want to know. If I dwell on the economy...I could easily crack. sometimes ignorance is bliss.
I'm more scared now than I was at the Y2K scare.
I'm going to start collecting staples as soon as we get some money.
Hugs!!

I am far from stimulated. Still trying to squeak by and find Todd a stable job. Times are scary.
