Im at Gingers house!

Ginger Barbers house.
Totally to die for!
(In my book anyway..)
My friend Joni, over at Cote de Texas, has just done a great post about one of Houston's top interior designers. Gingers moving!
Guess what? This is our chance to take a peek into how the other half lives. Suprisingly simplistic, rustic-ish..oh, and so very very..how shall I say...
ME???
Wanna take a lookey?
Lets go..
the very unassuming front. Don't you adore it?Here is the living room..Kitchenanother view..lord..could you die and go to heaven? Me? Oh, yesssssHere's the open airy great room. Girls, notice that exposed beam..ay yay yay!!Here's where the girl sleeps.
Can you say..ahhhhhh.
If your interested in reading a little more detailed article about Ms Barber, well, get yourself over to cote de texas, Joni is the total best.
Shes a great teacher, shes got a way with words beyond what you will find here.
Do you adore this home as I do, or is it just a Lisa thing??
Have a great weekend!
xoxo

Nope - not just you Lisa. LOVE the kitchen especially. Something about a white kitchen. Gets me every time.

It's such a good lesson in "less is more." Sometimes I go around my house thinking, "I need more decorations! More pictures! More... you know. Something!" But not really, huh? I just need the right stuff. Her house looks so calm... and relaxing.

I love how the decor manages to be both eclectic and minimalist. I have the eclectic part down, but I'm working on the scaling back.

Hey girl,
Definitely not just a Lisa thing. LOVE it. Every inch. Could move right in. You have great taste my dear!

p.s. Thanks for your ideas with my dining room chairs and table. I really like your suggestions and am going to consider them. One dining room *ahem* that inspired me is the one at your beach cottage. Love the mismatched chairs and table. Fabulous.

Ohhh...YES! Totally beautiful! Clean, simple, Homey, cozy...love the whites...and those wing chairs!! I just might have to rethink how I recover my wing chairs. I have a clipping I got from somewhere...of black and white check wing chairs!!!

Beautiful! I am a sucker for exposed beams too. I need to scale stuff down at my house too.

LOVE IT. I think I like the little curve on the bottom of the base cabinets best. What a simple little thing that give that kitchen some vavavoom :0)

I love all the light (I live in an apartment that only has windows on one side).
My favorite was the view of the kitchen table, and all the cabinets.

Just a little something from Judy said...

It is not just a "Lisa thing" because I could move in and not change a thing. I really like her style of decorating!! I wish you could give us an even more detailed tour.
