BAILOUT.

SCHMAILOUT.

The reason so many companys are in dire financial straits is because the CEO's are taking all the effing money. Crooks.

It's confuses the heck out of me! I've tried to listen but it all starts to sound like gibberish. I've been trying to listen to Dave Ramsey & Glenn Beck for any financial updates. :)

It all boils down to greed and folks wanting everything NOW. Just because you "qualify" for something doesn't mean it is in your best interest. Not that I wish a "depression" on anyone, but it might be the wake up call our country needs to really rethink how things are done.

Hey I liked your original rant last night! Where is the money?
Are we looking at a plan to get it back? In my parents day large companies took care of their work force. Today CEOs and Boards of large companies get richer and richer while cutting benefits to workers. Our local news station did a visual demonstration last year showing the wages of workers vs. a CEO in loaves of bread. A huge pile of bread represented the total work forces income and then the camera moved to the CEOs income...insanity! His pile was more than double the size of the entire work force.
Im not an expert on economics but I have concerns with a bail out. I also dont want goverment involved in every phase of my life. However I do understand that regulation is necessary in certain areas. There will always be people looking for loopholes and abusing the system to their own advantage. With all the brilliant minds available...no one saw this one coming? If they did why werent they heard?
What happens to democracy when goverment owns large chunks of huge corporations?
Okay I best stop. I have more questions than answers. We are in this position because of greed.

Lisa...save the award to your pictures and load it up. Its the only way I could figure out how to get it.

Since you asked - my husband is sick of hearing me talk about it so it's your turn - haha - I promise to be short.

It is greed, pure and simple. I am not in favor of a gov't bailout AT ALL. That being said, we appear to be too far gone for any other option. I hope our leaders are ready to lead since this is when we need it. I am happy that my Senator, John McCain, is going back to DC to do his job. The presidency is nothing compared to this.

I have been saying for years that this run would have to end. I know people thought I was just sour grapes. I have friends who are just going through hell now and don't know what they are going to do. Gosh, I feel for them but at the same time greed got them here and I don't feel like I should have to bail them out.

But we can't panic and everyone needs to stay calm. Now's the time to start (or continue) making smart decisions. It will be a distant memory soon.

Lisa, good luck with your refinance.

Bossy cannot talk about this bailout because she covets her low blood pressure.

I'm with Bossy. My blood pressure can't handle talking about it.

I'm scared! Plain and simple. I have no idea what the "suits" are going to do but I sure as hell hope that they do THE RIGHT THING!!

Have a great weekend!

Hugs!!

If you run a business into the ground, the business fails. End of story.

But if the majority of economists say we MUST bail out so that everyone doesn't fall on hard times, I say there should be oversight to make sure that those who ran their businesses poorly don't see a cent or, better yet, are fired.
