This old house...

The memories..

The great lady we restored..It was a beauty, as you can see. It just needed some tlc. The mouldings and the built ins..gorgeous..She was built in the day of true craftsmanship.

Every single doorknob was original, all the fixtures were original. It was a great house for the 3 of us..until..until ...

These two came along!
SURPRISE!!

The best memories were made in that house..My favorite photo of the boys..of all my photos.
Look at that little brother admiring the big..
We still have that pool, after all these years, they even swam in it this weekend.
Although the biggest boy, well..hes passed it.
That was the best house.
where wonderful memories, and a few little babies were brought home.
~
Walking down memory lane today.

It can be bittersweet and happy/sad those long walks down memory lane. Looks like a great old house that protected your little family!

I love this post!! I think you could turn any old house into one I would choose to live in...you just have the touch. That kitchen was beautiful!! Isn't special to hold those memories in your heart? As a grandmother stepping into the stage of many little ones, I thought your pictures were priceless!! Think how fast time goes, and how quickly they go from newborn to middle school. Good photo of you with the boys.

I love that house. How hard it must have been to leave it. But it sounds like you took some great memories when you left. And are making more in your new home.

love the corner windows there.

I am a sentimental big sister of three, and aunt to two. This is what the good stuff is!

Enjoy!
